image

Have you ever thought about how many years Madonna (born Louise Veronica Ciccone) holds a title of the Queen of Pop-Music? It is even terrible to think that this gorgeous singer, dancer, actress, director, producer, business woman and just a beautiful woman began her musical career more than 30 (!!!) years ago. However, not everyone knows that at that time she was a drummer in the band Breakfast Club, created with her friend. Fortunately, Louise did not wear out the seat of her trousers behind the drums and very quickly realized fully that she would bring home the bacon as a solo singer.

Blues, blues-rock, hard-rock, boogie-woogie – music, played by ZZ Top, combines a variety of genres and therefore many people love their songs. Heavy metal fans for severity of guitar riffs, blues fans - for emotionality and sensuality of their slow songs, punks - for “hooliganism” and energy.

And the rock-and-roll recklessness that reigns on stage when the legendary “bearded” men set foot on it, attracts many music fans around the world to a group with such an unusual sound. For their creativity work ZZ Top were included into the Rock n ‘roll Hall of Fame and had become a part of the “100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock».

«Born Villain» sounds a little bit like the blues,”- Marilyn Manson said in a recent interview. However, among the rules, the rocker honors, there is “to keep something back” :-).

Mysterious Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci, an embodiment of the feminine beauty Venus de Milo sculpture - these and many other invaluable masterpieces are exhibited in the Louvre (Musée du Louvre).

It has an enormous collection of paintings, sculptures and other works of art. Not surprisingly that the Louvre is the most famous and visited museum in the world.

As an exhibition space Louvre has being used more than two centuries. It became a museum after half a millennium as it was a fortress and the royal palace. When the residence of French kings moved to Versailles the Louvre had fallen into decay and could be destroyed. And none other than Napoleon Bonaparte saved the palace and transformed it into a museum. However, before this idea was advanced by the King Louis XV, but the French Revolution had changed the plans.

New show at the legendary Parisian cabaret Crazy Horse

image

The famous French cabaret Le Crazy Horse, one of the most popular in the world along with Moulin Rouge, offers residents and guests of Paris the new performance “The Flame» («Feu»). An outside art director of the show became a “king of shoes and accessories» Christian Louboutin - a favorite shoemaker of the burlesque star Dita von Teese. By the way, we could see a gorgeous Dita on the stage of Crazy Horse just a few years ago.

The choice of «Feu» director is not surprising - in consideration of the fact that costumes of dancers of Le Crazy Horse are only shoes and jewelry generally. Of course, the girls appear on stage in the shoes of Mr. Louboutin.

New songs of Alanis Morisette will be heard in Paris

image

Canadian musician Alanis Morissette is the author of many popular hits. The singer puts soul into every her song and she writes music and lyrics herself.

There is a significant story that happened when she was just getting ready to record her first “adult” album «Jagged Little Pill». Alanis wrote songs’ lyrics in a paper notebook which was carried with her into a bag constantly. Once in Los Angeles where the girl rented a tiny apartment, she was attacked by robbers. While they were digging in a bag, threatening to Alanis with a gun, she thought not about herself and her modest property but about the notebook with poems. “I have prayed to be nothing wrong with the notebook” – says the singer later the years. Everything was ok – and Alanis Morissette had sold 30 million copies of her first album.

Chateau de Valencay

image

As history tells us, the first French real feudal castle was built by seignior Gautier de Valencay in the 13th century. After that it belonged to the family of Chalon-Tonnerre, what was connected with the marriage contract, had been rebuilt and expanded with new facilities. Such families as d’Etamp, Chaumont de la Miller and Legendre were also owners of this old castle and all of them had tried to bring something of themselves into the architecture of the chateau.

We can not say that all these French names didn’t go down in history of the country someway, but the greatest glory the Castle of Valencay got thanks to the legendary French Foreign Minister of the three regimes (including the era of Emperor Napoleon) Charles Maurice de Talleyrand-Perigord - a man who became one of the best European diplomats of all times. Until now the name of Tayleran is often associated with such important concepts of politics as agility, cunning and unscrupulousness.
